Isnt w3school.com wrong?

I have heard my friends say that they found lots of errors in w3school.com. I also had stumbled upon one or two when I was learning CSS. Just wanted to know what your opinion is, since I have seen many of the people here are referring to w3school.com ,.... I wanted to decide whether to refer it or not. thanks in advance.

w3schools is a very good choice for a beginner. Even Intermediate learners can use it for learning the concepts or refreshing their concepts. Though some content has not been revised and that is why it may not provide you fully updated information. But again to learn it is very good website. Once you are done with basics, check "Mozilla developer network".

But the thing is sometimes codes work but its actually not the proper way of coding always (my experience). And learning the confusing way of coding is always backslashing. they say, w3school is highly search engine optimised, which is why they appear on top.
