Upvote your own code??

Question

I've been running through the Ruby course and decided to post my first bit of code. It is pleasing to see someone upvoted it .. thanks.

However, what I have noticed is that I can upvote my own code. Do people really do this?

PERSPECTIVE MATTERS
if you think you're code is valueable and from that other developer and programmers can learn new way of thinking then surely you can upvote your code so that others can develop interest in that.

Also use comments at the first to make other understand more clearly.
