Online games with javascript

Question

I notice a lot of online games do not use javascript but rather flash or unity. Is there a reason besides better graphics? Is javascript not a preferred method for browser games?

Ishola Obafemi But if it is just a simple game it would not matter, right? For example a simple pacman game that is just pixely. I was just worried if it causes a security concern or something like that?
