advice for beginner

i have a dream to build up a strategic game like age of empire and red alert and stroghold now what is first step in programming is it phython or C++ or both ? and if i learn C++ howa can i apply this on my game howa to allow the users to control the object ... if u have any idea on that plz help me?

you should first focus on what PL you are comfortable with, then pratice all the way and also do watch some tutorials from youtube to further enhance your skills :)
