everything is getting digitalized. literacy has extend beyond language comprehension (Reading, Writing, and speaking) and numeracy (arithmetic and mathematics ) to include ICT which include online things like e-commerce, e-transactions, e-leaning. e-voting which are all web-based.

now jobs now demands that people should be ICT compliant. people with web development skills (database inclusive)

people with webdevelopment skills have edge over the fellowship counterpart in the labour market and stand the chance of being more relevant on their jobs. moreso a time is coming that everything will be internet based and everyone with the exclusion of none will have to know a little of programming no matter how small so as not to be tag "illiterate "
