Is php still worth learning?

Hey guys I am a young coder. I am learning php at the moment but I hear every day that php is dying and so on. So I am not sure if maybe python is a better choice(for backend) or something like node.js. I want to become an coder later on, too. So is php still worth learning?

ive heard people say python is dying and so on.articles have to write stuff, they need money. php remains unchanged, and is still responsible for most backend stuff you see on the web

Php is pretty useful, and as easy as python is, it is dying. Php is still really useful for web applications. It is still worth learning.

I think it's worth learning PHP in fact I saw PHP jobs paying a lot but of course that's not the only reason why it's pretty important to learn PHP for backend web development.

php is used less and less for new projects. learning php would make sense if you plan to maintain old websites or fix wordpress sites. knowing some php is an advantage for sure. but I wouldn't recommend focusing on php unless you have an immediate advantage from it. I used php only once for a contract and learned it on the fly.

It's really hard to say it dying.. Most of the web was built by PHP. So, if it die, most of those web app and website will definitely change. It's a lot of works to do.
