Please what is the difference between block elements and inline element.

A block element extends widely relative to his parent, when inline get the default width to the smallest size relative to its content.
A block provocate a break line before and after him, while inline don't ( think to the <span> element )...

a block element (like div, p) uses the full available width. an inline element beside just as much as necessary
