What language is used for making linux distros?

Question

so lately ive been using linux alot, my most use ones are kali, blackarch and Parrot OS. if you couldnt tell im a pentester. A while ago i wondered "How can i make a custom Linux distro with the tools that *I* want?" many of the tools on kali, blackarch, etc are tools that i dont want and i need to uninstall them and then clone the tools i do want and then configure them to fit into the Terminal. Thanks!
