A way to promote your codes?

Hey guys! My main concern is that lots of starters may get demotivated, since they aren't getting any support or feedback on their codes I've seen a few nice codes on the page, but the problem is - they barely get any likes. As an opposite - a lot of starter codes get liked much more. So the question is - why is it happening like that? Is there a way to promote your code? (Posting it on your feed is visible for your followers, but what if a person doesn't have any of them?) I invite you to a small discussion :)

MarJan Feed posts aren't just restricted to your followers, the whole community sees it. As the feed gets popular, more and more people can see it. A way to make popular a particular code would be to share it along with some others to explain a particular concept or just to point out the creativeness of the coder. Also there are some threads wherein you can post your codes so other people can see them eg: https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/347139/?ref=app

I think it's hard to promote your codes. You can only promote their visibility - by promoting YOUR visibility. So how to do that? Every attempt easily ends up with just 'playing the system'. You might follow a thousand people on sight. Suppose half of them guilt-follow you back - that's five hundred potential upvoters. But does it mean a lot if they all like your codes? An upvote's easily given; but has the person even looked at your code? Understood what it does? Maybe the output color was nice. Well, every 4 year old can pick a color. Let's turn this around: Are a lot of likes a guarantee that the code is good? I have seen codes rise sky-high that didn't even do what they claimed they'd be doing. As ShortCode said: If you get the timing right and end up in Hot Today, magic might happen. What's more helpful for a beginner: Real interaction! Someone read and understood your code, found a mistake, left a comment. That's helpful because it helps you to get better - which is what you originally came for.

My advice: post in code advertising threads, and people will see them. Maybe use emojis to get peoples attention so they look at it. Eventually, you will get many followers from all your codes and they will upvote too. https://www.sololearn.com/discuss/452626/?ref=app

Actually, after you've get some likes, your code will be put in Codes -> Hot Today, and there will be much more people likes it... I also concern it, as when my follower is just 25, I didn't get much upvotes... But, now i got much...

Nathan Dawit David The Dark Lord I think u misunderstood this thread as advertisement thread. You need to find them and publish/advertise your codes there (like one mentioned by Rowsej ) and not here. Kindly remove the codes and post them in appropriate threads.
