You browser must know which document format it get, so with <!doctype html> it knows that this is html and them it parses the page with an html renderer

<html> is for normal html,<!doctype html> is for html5. munir you can create it in notepad and visual studio,if you are new i recommend you start with note pad. when you save the file make sure its .html and not .txt,and also change it to "all files" instead of "text file" there is a course in this application for html
