Do we need to master HTML5, CSS3 for becoming a skillful BackEnd Developer?

To become a skillful Full Stack Developer, I understand that we should master the FrontEnd Web Dev and BackEnd Web Dev.

However, if we want to focus on becoming BackEnd Developer, do we need to master HTML5 and CSS3 as well? 😊 Thanks!

"Master" would be a big word, I would more go with "To be aware". For a back end user this is more about building and request databases (mango, sql,...), different languages (python, php, javascript, ajax,...), frameworks (django, symfony,...). This kind big babies :D

I did not realize that to become skillful BackEnd Developer, a person must comprehend and master all those stuff you listed:
1⃣ databases
2⃣ different programming languages
3⃣ frameworks

I am newly learning to code, a completely beginner from scratch 😅
