How to simulate a human interaction in a webpage in a attempt to avoid losing connection from the server?

I need to keep on the session of a website (that means, after login, i won't be logged off automatically after a while). Of course this depends on functions behind it, but... what would be a way to keep me logged for hours in this page?

How about some Cookies ? 😃

EDIT: btw dont save the login credential in cookie, that's bad idea. simply create a token to identified the user
