I'm having problems with the installation process.

I've downloaded the software, and i tried following the steps, but whenever i type javac on the command prompt, it says it's not recognized as an internal or external command

what operating system are you using?
what steps have you taken so far? Have you changed the environment variables?

what is the command it is showing up?? That would solve the problem
