Which is the best programming language to start with?

lets say I'm in a dilemma to choose between Java, C++, C# and the plain C, basing on statistic Java is on high demand in the market but I just don't like it, I think C is the one

If you don't like Java, I doubt you'll like C++ better as they both have similar syntax.
Have a look at the Processing IDE www.processing.org.
It lets you program with a simplified version of Java or with Python or with JavaScript.
