There is a logic on that, in the following steps:
1. 90x + 7 = 97
2. 90x + 7 - 7 = 97 - 7
3. 90x = 90
4. x = 90 / 90
So if you let it be
ax + b = c
First subtract b from c and remove b
Then devide c by a to get x
