any software will do ....or you can use the CSS designer app I created to generate CSS without writing codes :) .you just need Ubuntu os and gtk3.10

css are also text files you can use notepad. you can also try notepad++ or sublime text they are nice

Notepad++ has a built-in language syntax checker for most of the fundamental programming languages out there (eg C, C++, C#, Java, Javascript, HTML, PHP, etc), thus making it a very powerful text-editor tool. They are available at the Language -> {select language} section. Another good text-editor tool that i frequently used to web-development is Bracket.io (http://brackets.io/)
