Challenging does three main things: 1) it boost your xp which means you'll move up levels quicker. 2) it makes you aware of gaps in your knowledge(if youre the learning type) which can aid your learning. 3) it creates rivalry which can boost motivation to learn more to slaughter your opponents

Challenges seem to be fairly misunderstood. So, I studied them and the people that use them. The coders that use challenges also have some of the best codes by shear volume and invites. So let's look at what challenges are. A challenge is continuation of core course concepts. Just like in the lessons themselves questions are asked to ensure mastery of subject matter. Challenges are also a brilliant way for coders all over the world to share and interact. I did not have any understanding of html and css before I joined sololearn 6 months ago. I took the course and then repeated it The concepts although strange and foreign seemed fun, like pieces of a puzzle. The challenges reinforced my understanding of the core concepts, and I found that because of them I would venture out and take an in-depth look at others codes and posts. It is because of the challenges that I kept coming back to sololearn everyday. For me at least, I found challenges to be a great tool.

David F. Rose 10531846 you have done amazingly in your challenges. Now I think it will be great to expand your knowledge by learning and challenging in a new language apart from html.

I think Sololearn coding assignment is a better challenge compared to the time trial stuff. Once you've viewed the answers after playing, it doesn't matter whether you actually know or have practice the answer before, you just type in the right answer and move on. It's simply a way to boost XP and not a challenge to me.

I think the main reason for challenges are: 1.To boost your xp 2.to help you learn faster and easier 3.to create competitions amongst SL users

I see it as a way to give you a broader mind in the programming field, sometimes you can't come up with a challenge all by yourself. Once you have solved a challenge, you'll have a fulfilled mind. 😋
