Horizontal Rule <hr> element in your designs?

Do you usually use the <hr> element in your designs?. If yes, in which use cases?

I like to use them to separate main content from a page footer. On FAQ pages I like to use them as dividers. What I like about the hr is using style to fancy them up, or sometimes slim them down.
