I've been working with Termux since a year or so. It's really amazing how it let's you work with Linux somehow similar to a Linux running on a computer. But it indeed has some limitations when compared to Linux running on a computer. Recently I found out something better than Termux for running Linux on smartphones. There's an app called UserLand. It offers you to work with different Linux distributions with exact access as it does on PC. It uses an app called connectBot as terminal and if you wish you can use gui output as well with another app called bvnc.

I use it a lot to play MUDs, I totally forgot I had python installed on it too.. I've been working on a proyect and I kinda haven't given it any thoughts, but I would definitely test things on my phone that I can't here in SoloLearn while I'm not home. It's a pretty nice lightweight thing to always have on one's phone. Just in case.

Sonic Well, Termux is an Android application, and it works just like a normal terminal on a linux/etc.. You can download all packages available even, and make multiple sessions. Using a text editor is too dificult and hard work though, because it gets buggy when you want to scroll left and right.
