I want to lift up from basic to advance!!!!

Sir I am not getting the way or path...
I am very much confident about my programming skills but I am sticked to these basic things, I don't know the way of growing , moving from a normal pragramming to working a project or idea , or a software, I couldn't find a link between basic to advance.
I have studied c and c++ and these are the awesome languages, I know some applications of these but can't implement on any thing..hope soo I am clear with my issue so you could understand.
Help needed!!!

I am just making some suggestions on possible projects:

1. A desktop application to solve real life problem, for example, an invoice system.
Specification:
You will need to include database management. And also graphical interface of issuing new invoice / adding product item / adding customer, etc etc

2. Mobile app.

You need to figure out what kind of programs you enjoy making, then expand from there. For me it's games.
