how does an Exponentiation operator ** work in python?

In python exponent operator is ** which is work as power.

2**3 means 2 to the power 3 which is equate 2 * 2 * 2=8 so this is how exponent works

In C language it is worked by pow() function in python it works with ** exponential operator
Eg. pow(2,3) =8 in c
2**3=8 in python
