You can learn Java first as well. The syntax in Java might not seem as comfortable as for example the syntax of Python, but if you especially want to learn Java, then why to start with something else?

go to roadmap.sh for a whole Roadmap of web development. It reaches from basic HTML to advanced full-stack API’s etc. I highly reccomend it. It even has links to the best tutorials online It’s amazing!

Pulkit soni Why would he want to learn another object oriented language first? Why not start with Java? That's like saying if you want to learn how to drive a car, you need to learn to drive a truck first. Doesn't make sense to me

I have learned the Basics of HTML and Python in school before starting to learn Java. Python is similar to Java in a lot of ways and is definitely a good start. But I recommend you to directly start learning Java If you want to. As for myself I write a few codes by myself after reading the Tutorial of SoloLearn so I can remember all of it a lot better. You can do that as well. Write your own small and easy codes with all the things SoloLearn teaches you. You will learn much faster and better with that method.

If you learned C before Java you could atleast skip the chapter Conditionals and Loops chapter of the Java Tutorial without worries. Anyways I don't prefer learning something else first. But you can do like you which, it is not strict like in the weight example, because in the beginning of learning programming you might not even be able to lift the 0.1 kg toy weights.
