What are the benefits of coding in native linux?
Native linux is an ordinary linux distro, as opposed to WSL (Windows sub-system for linux), git bash or any other linux program running in Windows. I'm considering going full linux, but it would be nice to know some of the cons and pros beforehand.

Hi. Linux is much faster then windows and there are almost no viruses in linux. So you don't need antivirus. But not all software and drivers are available in Linux. If you need to run some windows programs in Linux you can use Wine (windows emulator) or create virtual machine with windows inside Linux.
In my opinion Linux is better then windows.

Thanks for the answer Dmitriy Novak . I didn't know about Wine. I plan to use mx linux (someone recommended it to me as ideal for learning linux). My biggest regret is that I can't use vs code there.
