Learning programming

Question

Is learning programming useful for me as a student in high school.
Some people tell me that it is not useful for you because you do not have a goal to achieve and I really don’t have.
I am just learning it because they say it’s important.

Based on your past questions, people around you seem to enjoy telling you a lot of false stuff, like web development being a dying career, this, that and whatnot. It is observable that this situation has worsened. Perhaps you should stop doubting yourself and focus on refining your craft. You are the only one entitled to, and capable of determining if something is important to you. If you like programming, that's enough of a reason to do it. Once your craft has matured, your goal will present itself.
