What ways can I boost both confidence and creativity in coding while in college and doing CS coding assignments?

Prior to going to college, the only programming experience I had was a 3 week Codeacademy course for a high school class on HTML. Now I’m in my third year of college. My heart is in the right place; however, after one semester of Python and going on four consecutive semesters of Java, I feel doubtful, based on the grades I received. Time before entering the workforce is near, and I want to enter with the right footing with a confident personality.

Code anything and everything you can. Create web scrapers, save data to spreadsheets, automate processes, manipulate databases, log everything. Read code, Github daily, stackoverflow daily... The truth is you can do all these things and you might still suck at coding. There is no such thing as a quick route to learning programming. Ultimately it comes down to you. How bad do you want it?

The only confidence that's worth a damn accompanies skill. So write code like you mean it! Become good!
