just remember "text editor" and "word processor" is different. word processor usually save the file in binary file format, like word or pdf. text editor save the file as it is, for example notepad or vim.

You can technically use any text editor. I'd suggest Atom for syntax highlighting. You can also do it here on SoloLearn, but you'd have to change a lot of the code if exporting to your computer.
