Is it worth to learn visual basic ,should I learn it or not .There are other powerful languages but as a beginner should I learn

I really like java but my teacher says that I must have a little bit knowledge about every language so what do I do.My mind is not allowing me to learn visual basic I think it is time wasting and instead of it I must learn the other languages . I am now 17 and I don't want to waste any more time so what should I do?

As someone who has worked professionally with many different languages, I think you would pick up C#, then Kotlin quite well if you are already familiar with Java.

For expanded versatility, Javascript on NodeJS would be next, then, maybe Python. These are going to be much different from Java.

I don't think that learn visual basic is worth it ...
You should learn a language for what it can do :
C++ will allow you to do easy window with Qt
Python will allow you to code easy and quickly
C# will allow you to code video games in unity
