Does <svg> actually apply in html?
Meaning if I wanna design actual websites for businesses or even just as a hobby for my own, is svg something that I need to know for it?

SVG is 2d scalable vector graphics and yes you can use it .

SVG play an important role in website design today. If you are not currently using SVG in your web design work, here are some reasons why you should start doing so,

1st-Resolution.
2nd-Animation.
3rd-Css styling.
4th-Support for older browsers.
5th-File size.

And many more reason for using svg in our websites.
