Why is this IE always freaking out of the logics of other browsers?

I guess it has something to do with the fact that at one point Microsoft wanted deep integration between the operating system and the Web and they wanted to achieve through integrating the browser and attempting to push their own standards..
I think they finally gave up, as the Edge is actually using Chrome engine.
