Also, the Coursera course "Learn to Program: the fundamentals" from University of Toronto is excellent for total beginners, that's how I learned from zero

Don't use a book, just use SoloLearn, youtube and google. The best way to learn is by coding youreself, not by reading a book

You can read "Learning Python 3 The hard way" - Zed Shaw. He has written the "Learn Code The hard way" of many languages.
