I want to make a game that is based on java script. Is this app only for website makers or can I make games with this codes?

JavaScript is fine for relatively small requirement games on the web.

You can use Unity with JavaScript to make games too.

In this app you get familiar with basics of languages. You can make some "games" with this knowledge too but after completing these courses you should study more. Maybe buy some books or something.

@cheese Why is JavaScript not recommended? Did you know that a lot of web games, which are wonderful by the way, have been made with it. It might even replace Flash in the future.

If you want to make JavaScript games, go ahead. But this app only teaches you its syntax, which is a significant part you need to know to write games. However, you still need extra tutorials if you want to channel your acquired skill.

I gave the answer I gave looking at the context of the question asked. The asker wants to write a game with JavaScript so what other language should be recommended if not the language the asker want to use? I never said flash games could compete with console or PC games. I wasn't even defending Flash games.

The idea of making a game in my own point of view is just to release your creativity, good or bad. How the audience see it is your luck. In essence, even some web games have better reviews and ratings than PC or console games.
