What is the main benefit of following a certain solo learner?

I am teaching programming. I required my students to use solo learn as I do and ask them as well to follow me in order for me to monitor their activities and progress also to include the codes they saved, some post for discussion, xp points, badges etc.

If you follow skilled solo'ers, you gain knowledge as their asnwers to questions appear in your main feed. You can study their code etc.
