For Python you may use one of GUI-supportive modules like pyglet, pygame, tkinter or kivy. For now I got some minor experience in pygame and pyglet and I can assure you they are easy like cake. People say kivy is powerful and cross-platform, but a bit complex, so I stay away from it for the time being.
