Gradle is not able to recognize jvm. What should I do?

I tried methods available on google like replacing 1536 by 1024 in gradle.properties, using different versions of java, deleting .gradle files and resyncing it. But nothing is working. It still shows the error- ' Unable to start gradle daemon process. Unrecognised jvm option is used '.

The problem I was facing was due to K7 Total Antivirus. It was not allowing the gradle to recognise jvm.
Never thought Antivirus can cause problems too.
