You can reduce some lines, but generaly Python has a calendar library which can do that.

The thing I am confused about is that for year 2020 it works correct, but for year 1 not. You count on that, that a 1.1.1 is Monday (if I'm not mistaken, it should be Saturday if you take it as it is by Julian calendar).
