expand. when I started (like a year ago) I was in love with c++, thought it was the best, yadddaaaa. well 60% of the things that you will probably end up doing may require java. so if you get really good at c++. you understand pointers, linked lists, hash tables, and multithreading, START LEARNING JAVA. it was Sso easy for me to pick up. the Minor differences in source layout was kinda difficult to grasp at first but after that... if you want to go into mobile development c++ is useless.... web development c++ is useless... java took over. learn it. its good for the soul. as for other languages..... script. doesnt matter which one, but pick one and get good at it. kinda like with c++ above. learn one, learn them all. probs start with js. **check out The Coding Train on YouTube. he does Everything in p5.js super handy to help start learning. not that you would ever need it, but look into "machine" languages, like... assembly or vhdl. something that is close to the computer. it will help you understand how the high level languages like c++ work. and .net I have no idea what it is but a lot of employers want .net lol hope this helps. im still tryna be successful as well. just sharing what I know. :)
