I made a post concerning this: https://www.sololearn.com/Discuss/99903/about-making-games I will go ahead and tell you that console platforms are a bit tough to get your games on since not only do you need a license for Microsoft/Sony/Nintendo/whatever to host your game on their store (to ensure that trash apps don't appear on their stores), but you'll also need a separate license to even develop games for their devices (which costs a bit of money). HOWEVER, making PC games doesn't cost too much if you stick with the free stuff. I believe my post talks about this too. So, if you get a successful release on PC, then you should have more than enough money to afford a console license. Most importantly, do NOT give up. I see a lot of game devs say "I'm going to make an awesome game!" and then they don't bother to even learn how to program because it's "too complicated". Tbh, once you have a lot of the API memorized for whatever you're using, it's not too hard to make a game. (I myself frequently take part in 72 hour game dev challenges. If I can do it, just about anyone can!)
