Get used to your system exploring as much functionality as you can. don't worry about breaking things: it's very unlikely. For programming, my suggestion is to head to www.processing.org download the processing IDE and follow the totorials by Daniel Shiffman on his youtube channel The Coding Train. It's a very beginnet friendly enviroent and you'll be able to easily apply the concepts learnt on Solo Learn.

My suggestion is to learn an "easier" language such as python. C++ or Java are great but can be very difficult for a novice to learn. Python is great begginner friendly and widely used professionaly. Study the free courses at coursera python for everybody. Those are free video lessons from a top university in the world. They cover every detail from VERY basic to advanced. Supplement that with the sololearn python course and you're set to go.
