Python. Always Python. It will give you a comprehensive idea of about programming. It id beginner friendly yet powerful.

Few tips I wish I followed when I started:
1) Solve more problems. You will fins enough mathematical problems in internet or consider downloading a book.
2) Chose right teacher. Corey schfer has a great tutorial on Python. However Clever programmer is more joyous to watch.

3) Dont fall in tutorial purgatory. Solve more problems. Use hackkerank to practice coding. It is competitive coding based site.

4) Find people who have similar goal like you. Share and review each ofhers code.
