Need your advice.

Question

Hello everyone. Actually, i created an account on freelancer before 4 days ago. After biding on so many projects finally i selected for my first project. Project is to make a Django website. Actually, i got project in architect related company present in South Africa. They said they give me payment once the project is completed.
Should i ask for advance payment or not or should i request them to give me payment in two sections when the project is 50% done and next when the project is completed?
I need your advice guys. Is there any freelancer also.
