Despite the software like Adobe XD, do I still need to learn Frontend?

Well, just imagine getting a new job as a front-end developer in a company that uses figma.

You can be a good Frontender with a pencil and a piece of paper if you do understand the medium.

Once upon a time there was a tool named Adobe Flash. And a lot of web developers, who only did flash. Then Apple said "there will be no flash on the iPhone". Some of them lost their jobs, some had to learn to survive without this tool.

Its better to be knowledgeable and practical at the same time...Learn everything about Front-End to be at your best! Back-End too.🙃
