Why is it that SVG looks hards - I normally think its maths

Is SVG easy to learn.

Only path tag is hard with c and C ,I am myself having hard time understanding it ,but anyway depends on how much time you devote to that topic and I am sure you will do well slowly , people use svg editors for making complicated shapes instead using plain svg path which will consume a lot of time ,
Also ask a specific question about what you consider and which tag in svg you don't understand so people with knowledge in that domain might provide some help:-)

SVG is something super creative and interesting subject. Try to search from web some beginners tutorials which can help you to understand basics.
