Jumping blindly (with enthusiasm!)

Question

Decided coding sounded like a good path to pursue and set myself a "simple" end goal to achieve - build a sleek website with required login, to access a multitude of (hopefully quite secure) user-input data. Any sort of initial direction would be so useful! I think many people would be in a similar position 😊 Thanks to everybody in advance!
