I didn't said that C# cannot be used for android game development(And sorry,if I told so) It can be used.
But Java can be more better option in place of C# there.

It's not recommended for android game development.
Yeah, No doubt,it's the best language for game development but not for android..
That's only the question..
If he might have asked just game development,I have simply recommended him C#.
Java and C# are almost same though. (Not exactly same but they are same)
