How many languages do you need to learn in order to qualify for any programming or development job without being over qualified?

There is no such requirements for many jobs I know. However knowing many languages is always a plus point but again not very mandatory. Suppose if you are joining a company do you think that you will be the only one developer or you have to do all the jobs taking from networking to backend development, backend to frontend etc (i dont think so).
example: if you joining a company which develops video games then it's always better to know only the languages used by that company(again not all languages which are used for developing games) and also remember that even video game companies has many developers meant for doing some specific task(like graphic designer, game programmer, level designer, database guy, networking etc) so you have to select a particular interest(say a game programmer) and know only things needed by game programmer to make the job done(or an expert).
BUT KNOWING SOME BASIC TECHNOLOGIES NEEDED FOR MAKING A WHOLE GAME IS ALWAYS GOOD. (I'm taking here an example of game, it can be anything)

The requirements change depending on the company. In some cases, if you find small companies and the people who run them don't know much about programming, just the fact that you can make a webpage out of scratch could be enough to get you hired, in bigger companies, which have people who know what they are doing, more requirements may be needed.

Number of language never matter for job.whats matter is which language company use.
If you have 20 language skill but Google don't work with them they will not hire u.
If you know a language and Google's most work deal in that you got hired.
So target a job and language and just master it.

True but seeing some requirements for job applications got me thinking that we would all be over qualified for the job regardless if my description is based on one language
