Can anyone help me choose which gaming engine should I use for 3D game Development? Unreal or Unity?

Hey guys I am an intermediate Python programmer and beginner in C++ programming. I am confused either to choose Unity or Unreal. I know Unreal is based on C++ but its not like that if I know a bit C++ so I should start with Unreal. If unity is the best so I can start learning C#. No worries for that. Just help me out choosing either Unreal or Unity : )

There's actually no need to switch. You just need to use the right tools for the right job. That being said, UE4 is better suited for multiplayer FPS games, whereas Unity3d is better for 2D games or light mobile games. ... Now the most complete free FPS sample is the new Unreal Tournament game that is in the making.

I would check the Legal fine print for using both of those engines. If I recall correctly, they both require you to pay them royalties. So, if you make a game, and you want to make money off of it, you have to give some of your profits to them. I personally like Godot. It is free, and the games you make belong to you. The syntax looks very similar to Python and it is has a great community
