I don't know, but aren't most of companies now reducing or delaying recruitments? I mean, with this extraordinary situation and all ... new employees? I would guess companies are now more focused into surviving the pandemic then expansion or growth ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Why tagged 'compiler' and 'join'? are any those related to recruitments?

Yes....and some dont recruit students at all. I tell you about my company: Once students were recruited no matter which knowledge they had, because they were thought to be willing to learn . But the last years things changed: Too many students had almost no knowledge and were not interested in learning. So our company made tests before hiring. The result was clear: Either they already learned, coded and had some passion- in this case they passed the test with ease or their knowledge was like just completing SL lessons. Some ofthe 2nd were offered to be trainee for low payment but normally they did not agree- they wanted high payment for almost knowing nothing. The percentage of first group is decreasing the last years and the confidence in students from India with it. What counts is not your knowledge you have now but the forecast were u can be in 3 months.

Mrak gupta usually the companies like which mostly work on Java C#.Net they don't hire candidates who does not have knowledge about those two languages. In a recent (pre pandemic) interview at Wipro , a friend of my was interviewed, he was asked a ton of questions related to programming, but , they asked do you have any experience in Java or .Net environment, he couldn't lie there. so he was told that they will inform him later via mail.. And the mail never came..
