I am a commerce student can i also learn programming language many people suggested me that it will not be helpful in my future, so what should i do can you all suggest me something????

But it doesn't matter from which background you belong

It's upto you, you are the one who is going to decide what career you are gonna make and in what field.
And if you will be making career in your stream then hardly programming will be used
But if you want to opt for IT job you can get it and then yes you need to know programming

Think about being able to design your own accounting software for clients with custom specifications. Coding should be learnt by everyone in my opinion. Cheers.

Yes i advice you to learn python from basics to data analysist that will be helpfull in your domain.

Back ground is not have much importantence if you have good knowledge in coding to get into IT filed... (unfortunately fortunate).
At starting you need to proof yourself from some start-ups to get in settle..
But I say, commerce sector has also good option like in financial sector CA field.. (compare to IT salaries now).. Learning code also helps as additional knowledge in that sector.. Choose according to your interest and learn to get good knowledge..
