If I want to create mobile apps, what programming language is useful to start with?

So i recently started learning javascript thinking that it was used to create apps but i searched on the web and it says otherwise so now im stuck as to what i should learn. Ive been told python is where i should start but i want your opinions

Your Learning of JavaScript is not a waste of time, the next step is to study React.Js which is a JavaScript framework for mobile app development, or better still learn Flutter which is Dart framework, you can also learn Django which is also a Python framework for web app development, but in the same vein Kotlin is more Powerful. So just choose the one that interest you.

The best will be JavaScript and python. They will really help you out in making dynamic apps

Hi, javascript and python are great languages , you can’t regret learning them even though some times it is hard but it is worth it, so for me i can suggest you to learn react js and react native for building native apps there is no that much difference but even python can give you great and big opportunities in many sectors like machine learning , data science , backend development ..., but for beginners it is easy to start with flutter and dart language which can run on ios and android , here is a list of popular android development languages : java, kotlin,c# and more for ios : objective-c and swift and more other languages so you have to make a choice of a language wich is not complicated in my opinion it is flutter which use dart language.

Kotlin is newbie friendly for Android app development. Or You can choose Java an official language for Android app development.

Steven Rodriguez The JavaScript you are learning is vanilla js. Which has no direct use in app development. But yes you can use es6 concepts in native to develop app. Also React. Js is only ok for single page apps. React native is ok but it has also some cons and pros That you can't develope all types of app there. So better to use Kotlin , Java , dart

You have to decide what type of your app mobile . Is it web application or other type. And type of mobile is it android or apple or other type. For android you can learn :> java or kotlin or together. For apple you can learn:> Swift or object - c or together. And for web application :> javascript and php and python ,etc.
