1) use a (free) game engine like unity/Cryengine 2) use a (free) modelling tool like blender 3) use a (free 😂) programming language like c# 4) make your awesome game!!!!

I can agree on that, its not easy getting started with 3d games, but as preview Users recomented unity is 'kinda' userfriendly but u should get some c# skills, so its not too hard, a nother important topic would be, ask yourself what kind of game do you want to create, make a Checkliste because creativity is a never ending Story and one is for real u cant work for ever on your game, what else, aslong you work alone you should question yourself how complex it should get, coz more complexity result in more work ofc. So set priority and the most important point: have fun what you do :)

Now games are not made using Programming languages. They are made using game engines. It will be easy to make games using game engines. Making a game with python or C++ will take years. If you are a beginner start using Stencyl... Its free but only 2D games can be prepared with it. I prefer using Blender. Its free and has no limits. Its interface is a bit difficult but you will learn it with usage for some time. Or you may purchase a game engine but I prefer starting with blender.
